Vitatex is an early-stage biotech company, focused on commercializing proprietary rare cell-enrichment research and diagnostic products. We believe that our products can provide significant R&D and clinical benefits. Our products help researchers obtain target cells, genes and gene products that have great promise to develop new diagnostic and therapeutic products.

Our technologies, which we brand as Vita-Assays™ and Vita-Cap™ and associated reagent kits, can isolate and characterize viable tumor, stem and progenitor cells from a tube of blood. Our technologies target functional characteristics of circulating tumor cells, cancer progenitor cells, and circulating endothelial cells based on their aggressive nature.

The hallmark of tumor-spreading (or metastatic) cells is their ability to invade tissue outside of its primary site, thus spreading throughout the patient’s body. Our technology utilizes this ability to attract tumor cells to our proprietary CAM and separates viable (living and active) tumor cells from non-tumor and dead cells by the viable tumor cell’s active ingestion of CAM.  Furthermore, our CAM technology can provide a pool of viable cancer progenitor cell population—which may be responsible for survival of residue metastatic cells, metastatic tumor growth, and drug resistance—simply from blood.

Based on findings from our R&D to date, our devices and reagents will develop into cancer diagnostic blood tests that can assist physicians to more effectively:

Monitor the effectiveness of on-going treatment;

Predict disease recurrence after treatment;

Diagnose cancer more accurately and earlier.
